Still chopping up fabric....

My sister Helena and I are in heaven with all the lovely fabrics.  She's visiting from NY to help take care of Mum who is now living with me.

So while she has been here, pretty well since Boxing Day, we've been surrounded by my boxes and bins of fabric.  And I have to say we've done the odd shopping trip for even more fabric, just so we have a wider choice!!
This is Mah Jong, Helena's latest one.  These one-of-kind special packages of fabric all have a name. You may see four ladies in their kimonos, or you may not!

"Hummingbird"

This and "Hummingbird" both recently sold in my Etsy shop.

She's working on "The Shah" here.  It's always fascinating to see what she creates with a few pieces of fabric.
Special Note

This is my 500th post!

I'm going to have a draw to celebrate.  The prize will be one of our special one-of-a-kind packages.  The winner will choose from a list of "names"  still being compiled.

Just leave a comment and your name will go into the random draw.  Deadline to enter is Sunday 7th April, 5pm Eastern Standard time.

Forgotten Stash....

How I could have forgotten this gorgeous assortment of embroidered and beaded fabric is hard to believe.  I had tucked it away probably because the pieces were not large enough to cut several pieces of the same to include in selections in my  Etsy Shop.

My sister Helena is visiting and came across them tucked away in amongst my stash.

So, rather than tuck them away again, she offered to  put together some one-of-a-kind embroidered fabric packages. In each there will be eight pieces of richly embroidered, beaded, sequinned or special fabric.

Here's the first one she made up for the shop;  my sister has named it "Russian Opera":

Sorry, they are all sold out.  More coming soon.
