Emily's block - finished

I know I've posted about this block numerous times in various stages of it's production, but now it's finished!  And I'm so pleased with it.  I think in the last year thanks to four days with Sharon B in Connecticut, and various sessions with Gerry Kruger, learning about design, balance, flow around the block, etc., all things that I did not understand before, that I have actually "got it" (to some degree, anyway!)

Yes you certainly "got it" Diane, this block is so so beautiful! I magnified the picture so I could see every awesome detail. I love everything about your block, and the way the lace looks like a blanket is such a special touch! I took notes!

It's beautiful, Diane! I love it all! I'm hoping to do a block for my new granddaughter, so thank you for all the inspiration.

This is a beautiful, delightful block! Your stitching is and always has been absolutely gorgeous, Diane. Whatever it is that you “got”, I think you already “had”, LOL. Perhaps Gerry gave you an understanding of how to express it? Anyway, it is lovely. Hugs, Cat
