I had a lot of fun doing these beetles. All but the prety one on the left are authentic shapes and colours. I just had to make an imaginary one too. The butterfly is stumpwork, the wings are made first and attached afterwards.
Hi Diane, I love your bugs - they are just too cute and you did an awesome job on them. Your butterfly is so pretty. I just took out the wire of some of the same type of ribbon to make jelly fish - I am going to have to try your method out to make a butterlfy next.

ReplyDeleteA jellyfish sounds interesting! There's really no end to things that can be wired. Nice that the wire is provided along the ribbon edge!
